Arizona State University is hosting the 2012 American Culture Centers Directors' Meeting (ACCDM) to be held in Beijing on June 18-20, 2012, at the Traders Upper East Hotel. This is the initial gathering of Chinese and American directors of the cultural centers created by 12 institutional partnerships. The purpose of this meeting is to improve Sino-American cultural exchange. While each university partnership has its own characteristics, the cultural centers have features which we all share in common—a history of collaboration and a desire to engage students and professors in academic and experiential learning opportunities focused on American themes.
